Using Rice to save Wet Cell Phone/Camera Battery

 

Who does not use a cell phone and a camera these days? And which one of us doesn’t need it? And it is a portable device and we take it everywhere along with us, so there are often chances that it may fall into a wet place like a sink, a tub or even in worse places like the toilet and get damaged. And even at times get your clothes washed in the machine while in your dress pocket. So you don’t need to get worried, if you are fast enough you can get it back to work using rice grain.

First of all, as the accident happens grasp the phone or camera out of the wet place as soon as possible. Make sure let this time interval not be longer than mere 20 seconds. Make sure you separate the battery from the phone as soon as possible.

Use a dry towel or tissue paper to absorb the maximum amount of moisture. This will dry the terminals and remove the apparent water droplets. After wards you can use rice to dry up your damp cells.

Now after all this you can easily submerge you cell phone in a bowl containing white uncooked rice.   It is an effective way to help dehydrate and resurrect you damaged phone. Keep it soaked in water until it’s completely dry and starts working. You can even let it stay in rice over night until its well with work again. Silica gel can also be used for the purpose but what’s the use wasting time buying that when the remedy is readily available at home.

Now the most important thing is to avoid heat. Therefore, avoid hair dryers and microwave ovens as it will result in damage to your cell phone and cameras. Also, try avoiding direct sunlight. Using rice is an easy technique that will help you recover your wet cell phone.
